Avenues has been tasked with overseeing approximately 4-6 public service events annually, catering to diverse requirements and protocols. The primary events managed during this period include:
Women in Public Service Summit
This summit occurs up to three times per year across Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch, alongside an online component. Each instance is guided by a distinct organizing committee, necessitating slight adjustments in management. With attendance ranging from 300 to 600, primarily comprising women from various sectors, the summit is structured as a one-day, multi-streamed event. Our responsibilities include:
- Establishing and managing the Summit Website in accordance with existing branding.
- Procuring speakers and negotiating fees.
- Handling registrations through the EventsAir platform.
- Implementing virtual/hybrid components using the EventsAir OnAIR platform.
- Coordinating with suppliers, speakers, and stakeholders.
- Budget management aligned with Public Service criteria.
- Event logistics encompassing travel, speaker arrangements, and technology.
Cross Agency Rainbow Network Conference
Held biennially over two days, this conference draws 200-400 delegates from various public sector entities, focusing on LGBTQIA+ inclusivity. Our support includes:
- Establishing a dedicated conference website.
- Developing an online abstract submission portal.
- Speaker liaison and guidance.
- Facilitating virtual inclusivity and engagement.
- Managing registrations via EventsAir.
- Event logistics management.
Spirit of Service Awards
An annual dinner celebrating outstanding public servants, where we contribute to event logistics both pre-event and onsite.
We Enable Us Conference
Scheduled for 2025, this pioneering event unites the disabled community within the public sector. Our role involves comprehensive event management, addressing diverse delegate needs.
As these events progress, supplementary services such as networking functions or small exhibitions are frequently incorporated, reflecting an evolving scope beyond the initial mandate.
