Avenues Event Management boasts over 25 years of excellence in creating memorable and successful conferences and events. 

Founded by Melanie Walker, our dedicated team specialises in managing conferences and events for a diverse range of clients, spanning associations and not-for-profits, government agencies and corporates.  

Our unique approach revolves around a genuine partnership ethos, where your success becomes our success. 

Our conferences range from one-off or annual domestic events to large international events. We are active in assisting with bids to procure international conferences and conventions 

With regards to our other event management offering, beyond conventional event planning, we take on roles as ideators, critical path developers, budget architects, and sponsorship procurers. 

Avenues prides itself on assembling a cadre of experts spanning entertainment, education, design, strategic planning, food and beverage, presentation, and copywriting. 

Whether functioning as sole organisers or seamlessly integrating into steering teams, we assume responsibility for the intricate day-to-day management of events.

Meet The Team

Melanie Walker

Managing Director | Founder

After graduating from Victoria University, Melanie gained experience in the food/beverage and hospitality field. In 1990, Melanie established Avenues Event Management, recognising that just as an event requires a range of components and contributors, an event management team requires a variety of skills and competencies.

As the strategist of her team, Melanie exhibits strong project management skills, ensuring that the project’s outcome is always kept in mind.

She actively seeks partnerships with her clients and excels as a problem solver.

Since establishing Avenues Event Management, Melanie Walker and the team have organised a wide and varied range of events – international and national conferences, dinners for two thousand, product launches and indoor/outdoor concerts that have catered for up to twenty thousand people.
